CLASS DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES
THE NATUROPATHIC OVERVIEW- This session will be of advantage to all who wish to learn about the history, principles, modalities, and therapies of Naturopathy. It includes the contributions of famous people in the field of Naturopathy and modern day health and wellness trend in the industry. GLCAM participants are required to attend to this session prior upon taking the higher level sessions..
HUMAN INTERACTION- BIO CHEMISTRY-This session studies the lifework of Dr Bernard Jensen, and V.G. Rocine and their revolutionary examination on the chemistry of food. The close relationship between food and health will be discovered with a detailed highlighting on how the chemical elements of food affect the modelling of human personality. For student, nurse, doctor, who wants proper information to teach his patients, this class will provide broad-based rationale for changing our old habits of life.
ORTHOMOLECULAR NUTRITION-The concept of orthomolecular nutrition is based on using optimal diets and food supplements to combat and heal diseases. Its overall goal is to educate student in promoting optimal health and longevity for the human being. Classes will cover orthomolecular medicine treatment, with many absorbing case histories by explaining the functions of all major nutrients, research, etc.
ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY-Participants will be able to have an efficient method to the education of human construction and function is studied. Concentration is specified to nervous system, skeletal, muscular, circulatory, and respiratory system. Basic chemistry, cell biology and metabolism are also reviewed.
SEVEN PILLARS OF HEALTH-In this class participants will learned the Basic foundation of Health. Empowered them how to start making healthier choices in life, they will be reintroduce to the basic good health like water, sleep and rest, living food, exercise and detoxification, supplements, and coping with stress.
MEDICAL JURISPRUDENCE-This course summaries the legal obligations and boundaries the student must be conscious and aware of to defend him/her and act legally in the natural health field. The student will learn how to use appropriate language terminology in connecting and interrelating with others and how to edify others in the natural health field. It covers PITAHC guideline Republic Act 8423, and further local & international guidelines.
BASIC PATHOLOGY-Participants will understand the processes of cellular tissues injury, environmental pathologies, developmental disorders, and inflammation and repair mechanisms of the body. Will able to know the types and specific features of diseases covered in the course that can affect the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, , gastrointestinal system, hepatic and biliary tract (including hepatitis and diabetes mellitus), nervous system, urinary system, gynecological and obstetrics, breast disease, male genital system, and musculoskeletal and integument.
ENZYME HEALTH-This course discloses the function of enzymes in the body’s attempt to digest food into consumable material –useable for the conservation and maintenance of life. Students will benefit tremendously in this class with nutritional theories so abundant, and the proper management of enzyme therapy as a complementary medicine in the use of other viable nutrients.
HERBOLOGY-This class will conceal a complete summary and support of the excellent worth of the organic and inorganic materials and their influence on the human body. The consumption of herbs in the renovation and rejuvenation of health will be reviewed. The organisations of herbs, narrative explanation of their properties, accomplishments, outcomes, and purposes for the management and inhibition of sickness will be reviewed to require customary training in conventional herbology.
SOFT TISSUE MANIPULATION/ MASSAGE-This class will provide effective, holistic treatment for disease and relief from stress. Students will be taught using pressure and massage techniques of reflex points of the body particularly on feet and hands. It teaches students vital energy, or life force, circulates between the organs of the body, permeating every living cell and tissue.
AROMA THERAPY-The efficacy of essential oils will be studied clearly on a scientific basis. Students will be able to learn how essential oils interact with different systems of the body and how they affect emotional states as well as physical ones. This class turns the art of healing with essential oils into good medicine for the practice of naturopathy
BACH FLOWER THERAPY-This class will enhance students the treatment using flower essences as alternative treatment to conventional medicine by Edward Bach MD. Knowledge of this class will be providing vital new features, for reliable diagnosis and treatment of emotional and psychological remedy. Emotional sources of illness can be treated through the use of flower essence therapy.
HOMEOPATHIC STUDIES-This class will teach the basic concept treatment of homeopathy. This system of medicine uses natural remedies made from animal, vegetable, mineral substances in according to the natural laws of healing. Students will learn the history, approach and implementation of homeopathic materials to their clients.
NUTRITIONAL WELLNESS-The best frequently varieties of nutrients, food supplement, and herbs will be covered in this class. Collective chief illnesses and disease will be examined that finds the supplements that can be used to prevent and fight major diseases. Alternative medications and modalities will be covered in conjunction with the nutritional program.
CANCER/CHOICES IN THERAPY-This class is formed to cover various subjective indications through the use of alternative therapies that are not common into allopathic medicine. Metabolic disorders as major source of illness and cell degenerative disease will be discussed, alongside with its proper complementary healthcare procedures.
CHEMISTRY OF HEALTH-This class offers the study of biochemical responses and the progression hosted in the body as an outcome of food pattern. Chemistry of fats, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, and minerals which contribute to health and wellness will be discussed that provides a major reason for the decline of health.
NUTRITION AND HEALTH-This class encompasses the alternative treatment of disease that orthodox medicine has not provided. It combines ancient and modern drugless treatment through the use of foods, vitamins, juices, herbs, detoxification, etc.
CLINICAL EXPOSURE/ PRECEPTORSHIP-This class involves 400 hours of supervised clinical internship into wellness centres, private consultation, food Supplement Company, and public health. Students are expected to submit a required thesis and dissertation for this class.
